Public executive briefing share links

How published briefing links work and how to revoke them.

When you publish an executive briefing, VisionAtlas creates a secret link (/share/briefing/...) that works without signing in. Anyone with the link can view included slides.

Your responsibilities

As the data controller, only share links when:

  • Viewers are authorized to see the content
  • You are not disclosing personal data unlawfully (employee details, customer PII, etc.)

Briefings may summarize operational metrics; treat public links like forwarding a slide deck to an open audience.

Open the published briefing and use Public share link:

  • Revoke link — immediately invalidates the URL (visitors receive “not found”)
  • Link expires — optional date/time after which the link stops working

Revocation is logged in the admin audit log as REVOKE_SHARE.

Best practices

  • Prefer in-app Present mode or authenticated export for sensitive reviews
  • Set an expiry for board packs shared with external advisors
  • Revoke links when a briefing is superseded or published in error
