Getting started

Welcome to VisionAtlas

What VisionAtlas is, who it is for, and how teams use it to connect strategy to execution.

VisionAtlas helps leadership teams connect goals, KPIs, initiatives, and weekly updates in one place so everyone sees the same picture of progress.

Who VisionAtlas is for

  • Executives and leaders who need a company-wide view of performance
  • Department leaders and managers who run KPIs and initiatives for their teams
  • Contributors who submit updates and observations without owning the full planning model

Core ideas

VisionAtlas uses a small set of entities. Each has a distinct job:

  1. [Goals](/help/goals) — strategic outcomes you commit to for a period
  2. [KPIs](/help/kpis) — measurable targets that prove goal progress (the hub of the model)
  3. [Initiatives](/help/initiatives) — projects and programs that should move KPIs
  4. [Weekly updates](/help/weekly-updates) — department progress, blockers, and initiative status each week
  5. [Executive Briefings](/help/executive-briefings) — weekly leadership slides (Intelligence+). See also AI Summary, Executive reviews, and the leadership overview.

For a full map of when to use each entity (observations, risks, action items, AI tools), start with [Understanding entities](/help/understanding-entities).
